GEORGETOWN ROTARY YOUTH MUSIC CONTEST
These contests provide young musicians with valuable performance opportunities, feedback from
experienced judges, and a chance to interact with peers who share their passion for music.
Winning or even participating in such events can be a significant accomplishment and can help
aspiring musicians gain recognition and confidence in their abilities. Additionally, these contests
often foster a sense of community and camaraderie among young musicians.
This is an exciting opportunity for talented high school instrumentalists! Here’s a summary of the
competition details:
Host: Georgetown Rotary Club
Date: March 4th
Eligibility: High school students (grades 9-12), including homeschooled and non-traditional
students
Requirements: Participants must have a reasonable ability to play a musical instrument
Commitment: Winners must commit to the next level of competition in Placerville on April 12.
and the finale in Reno NV May 2nd.

Prizes: Monetary prizes are awarded at each level, with a grand prize of $1,000 for the winner of
MuMusic On The Divideinale in Reno.
